About the role
Solar Impact Inc. is searching for an experienced Solar Installer / Electrician to join our Operations Team in Gainesville, FL.
Responsibilities
- Embody Solar Impact Core Values
- Follow and continuously improve Solar Impact processes
- Install electrical equipment per NEC guidelines
- Demonstrate proficiency in bending conduit
- Collaborate with a team to complete all tasks related to solar installations (e.g., job preparation, roof layout, racking, attachment, and system monitoring)
- Maintain professionalism while interacting with customers and team members
- Ensure a safe work environment by complying with Solar Impact safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Keep tools and parts organized on installation vehicles
- Safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment
- Participate in all required safety and solar installation training
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient project progress
- Evaluate completed projects to identify areas for improving efficiency
- Meet attendance and punctuality requirements set by Solar Impact
- Work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary to meet project demands
- Travel and work out of town as needed
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of prior electrical experience or participation in the Electrical Apprentice program strongly preferred
- A valid driver's license and insurability are required
- Must reside in the greater Gainesville area
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- Must be capable of working at great heights
- Able to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb ladders for prolonged periods
- Able to stand for 10-hour shifts
- Able to lift at least 75 pounds
- Must be able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures
- Availability to work overtime and weekends is required
- Must be safety-conscious and continuously work in a manner that prevents accidents
