Solar/BMS Journeyman Electrician Technician

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Mounting of devices and field interface panels
• Install EMT and Rigid conduit
• Determine the number of cables and wires to be run in conduit pulls or open cable pulls between devices and field interface panels
• Install and mount high voltage AC/DC power for inverters
• Install high-voltage disconnects
• Install and configure solar panels
• Install high voltage and low voltage wiring
• Calculate cable/wire pulls in conduit to ensure conduit maximum fill
• Identify all cables and wires with wire numbers and maintain documented as-builts of the numbering
• Pull cables and wiring
• Collaborate with Project Manager, Supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely project completion
• Terminate wiring using design drawings
• Create and daily maintain an as-built record of installation
• Maintain Daily Reports to be forwarded to the Foreman/Project Manager
• Assist Commissioning Technicians with commissioning and startup

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in a commercial or industrial environment
• Electrical Journeyman license required
• Ability to properly bend, tread, and install rigid conduit
• Proven in-depth knowledge of related building codes, regulations, and ordinances
• Proven ability to effectively read, interpret, and work from plans, schematics, and drawings
• Prior experience in project estimation of electrical labor, materials, and equipment
• Strong interpersonal skills and good customer service skills
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and in good standing
