About the Opportunity

The QA Application Tester plays a critical role in validating system functionality through thorough testing, including system testing and User Acceptance Testing. This position ensures that software requirements are met and that defects are identified and resolved, contributing to the stability and reliability of the system. The role supports project teams by providing expertise and documentation related to testing processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create test use cases and conduct testing according to project requirements.
• Generate test result reports and implement required testing methodologies.
• Document testing processes for team use.
• Support defect resolution during testing phases.
• Provide testing process consultation to project teams.
• Develop presentations for stakeholders and officials upon management request.
• Report test results and document defects using defect management tools.
• Validate Traceability Matrix alignment with contractual requirements.
• Handle the full lifecycle development of automation frameworks.
• Collaborate on automation framework architecture and expansion.
• Maintain automation test suites and integrate them with DevOps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in IT project testing.
• Experience with NIEM XML or other complex XML standards.
• Manual testing experience of web services using SoapUI or Postman.
• Knowledge of IBM Rational Jazz Suite is a plus.
• Ability to analyze complex integrated systems and trace issues.
• Experience with SOA technologies.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in core programming languages such as C# or Java.
• Knowledge of automation reporting tools such as Extent Reports.
• Experience with data-driven automation testing.
• Familiarity with GitHub.
