Software Test Engineer - Frisco, Texas
About the role
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to design, execute, and maintain test plans ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans to ensure software quality and reliability
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify defects and improve software
- Automate testing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support flight testing, field integration, and first-of-type system deployments
- Document test results and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 3–7 years of experience in software or systems testing within aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomy, or embedded systems
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies, including Verification & Validation (V&V), regression, functional, and integration testing
- Experience developing test cases and procedures
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and defect reporting skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience with unmanned systems, autonomous platforms, aerospace, or defense programs
- Familiarity with HITL/HIL and SITL test environments
- Knowledge of aerospace and defense standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-HDBK-516C, and related MIL-STD frameworks
- Experience testing embedded and distributed systems

- Competitive salary range: $75,000 - $145,000

Schedule
This position operates on a two-week-onsite, two-week-remote rotation, with per diem and all travel expenses provided for the duration of the program. Future programs provide opportunity to work fully remote.
