Software Test Engineer

About the role

Auria is looking to hire a Test Engineer I to support our MELCO program. This role can be remote or hybrid in Colorado Springs, CO or Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities

• Assess PPMC system requirements and specifications for verification and validation
• Develop integration, test, and operational verification and validation strategies for PPO, TM, and BPS subsystems
• Perform and support integration and test activities; evaluate test results ahead of program milestones and MELCO reviews
• Investigate discrepancies, provide technical assessment of anomalies, and drive issues to resolution
• Assist in test planning, approach, procedure, verification methodology, and reporting development

Requirements

• Hands-on experience identifying, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in complex system-of-systems implementations
• Ability to support requirements analysis and translate them into verification/validation approaches
• Strong attention to detail and clear technical writing for test reports and anomaly documentation
• Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree with demonstrated experience

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in testing or DevOps of communication systems and/or satellite systems
• Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Automated testing experience utilizing JIRA automated testing tools

Pay

$94,000–$118,000, based on selected candidate's qualifications (skills, education, and experience) and position level.
