About the Role
Become a part of something impactful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The selected Principal Test Engineer will support the GWS-GSS IPT. You will be responsible for scheduling tests for execution and then monitoring, measuring, controlling, and reporting on test progress, product quality status, and test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust for evolving conditions.
You will plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities; design, develop, document, test, and debug software containing logical and mathematical solutions; apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle; and ensure software standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.
- Understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing.
- Develop testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements.
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
- Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software to develop solutions for business/mission applications.
- Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation, and analyze system capabilities.
- Travel up to 10% to support business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of experience with a PhD.
- Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application (required to start).
- Experience in C++ development.
- Experience using Python and other scripting languages.
- Experience using Eggplant or other GUI-based toolsets.
- Experience with GitLab or Bitbucket.
Desired Skills
- Security+ certification.
- GMD/MDA experience.
- Java experience/understanding.
- Experience using Cameo.
- Active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $182,100.00
