This position supports the Department of Navy Tomahawk Land-Attack Missile program. The Tomahawk program continues to grow and expand as a relevant deterrent against adversaries across the globe and is employed by multiple military organizations. This program is expected to remain in active service for the foreseeable future.

About the role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the Tomahawk program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products, develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations, and debug and resolve issues to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo System Modeler
  • Manage requirements, tracking, and verification for TMP systems change requests (CRs)
  • Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Evaluate customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces
  • Develop and maintain code, unit test, and integrate software components into the TMP system
  • Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, interfaces, designs, and algorithms for TMP system
  • Collaborate with software development team to share expertise and knowledge
  • Drive TMP software architecture, design, and approach through software process development, selection, tailoring, deployment, tools, and metrics
  • Develop software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments
  • Provide technical solutions for a diverse range of challenges
  • Implement TMP and industry standard software processes
  • Collaborate with and provide guidance to less experienced team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Ability to meet DoD 8140 Program Foundational qualifications
  • Experience using Catia Magic System of Systems, DoDAF, or similar Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) software
  • Proficiency in .Net Framework and SysML (or extensive Unified Modeling Language)
  • Experience in managing DoD contracts requirements
  • Experience in all aspects of designing and implementing system architecture, requirements, software, and software testing

Qualifications

  • Experience in handling documentation products for the use of developers and stakeholders, specifically regarding requirements and systems of systems
  • Experience with software design and development tools such as Subversion, Azure DevOps, Git
  • Experience with Navigation Modeling and Flight Simulation

Pay

Summary base pay range: $135,000 - $165,000. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Schedule

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. This is a US-based job and a US Person is required.

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.
