Responsibilities

  • Test products and projects, review function sheets, and create and execute test cases for new developments
  • Organize and lead project meetings with Software Commissioning and Development teams
  • Integrate selected test cases into a standard set for respective software products
  • Organize, prepare, and test software in the office (Kennesaw/Atlanta, GA) and/or at customer sites
  • Train and support customers on software and logistics-related issues
  • Configure simulators and lead/perform cross-product tests
  • Document performed tests via a test documentation system and create anomaly reports in a bug tracking system
  • Provide technical support, including addressing technical and process-oriented questions
  • Create, maintain, and adapt auto-tests, and ensure their roll-out to projects
  • Maintain and support simulations, sandboxes, and test VMs
  • Develop and support internal software projects
  • Enhance and extend test coverage of product functions
  • Create test projects and test plans based on standard test cases
  • Support the test lead on WMS projects
  • Prepare and sometimes lead customer and employee training
  • Continuously update and share technical notes (KDB)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong knowledge of C++ or Java development
  • SQL and PL-SQL experience is required
  • Experience with Linux and working in a mixed Linux/Windows environment
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python is a plus
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructures
  • Knowledge of logistical workflows and processes
  • Understanding of current software development technologies and design patterns
  • Capability to create workflows, processes, and sequence diagrams, and develop/implement accordingly
  • Strong knowledge in one of the following: database development, process development, or UI/HMI development
  • Knowledge of KNAPP software implementation process

Working Conditions

  • Overtime as required by work
  • Up to 30% travel, domestic and international (primarily Austria, other parts of Europe, and Canada)
  • Ability to travel by air both domestically and internationally
  • Professional office etiquette required at all times
  • Physical requirements may include sitting for long periods, standing, walking, climbing a ladder, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 50 pounds
