About the role
Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join a team building new tools that help customers modernize their traditional customer communications processes. This position adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and requires U.S. citizenship for a federal background check.
Responsibilities
- Ongoing functional testing of enhancements, defects, etc., for web-based applications and document production software
- Ownership of testing for potentially multiple customer projects
- Creation of detailed test plans and test cases to exercise functionality
- Defect reporting, tracking, and analysis
- Timely communication of progress to manager
- Occasional 2nd-tier customer support to address questions and issues
- Other day-to-day testing activities as they arise
- Bringing ideas to the team to improve testing processes and overall product quality
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Proven capability in software QA fundamentals, including test planning, test case creation, and documentation
- Strong communication skills; ability to understand and relate concepts, findings, and updates to a variety of personnel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the organization
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments based on business and team priorities
- Familiarity with the Waterfall concept
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience with confidential and regulated data (PHI, PII, PCI, etc.)
- Experience using Atlassian JIRA or similar project management software
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar products
- Experience with QA of document production software (billing statements, EOBs, ANOCs, invoices, etc.) and mailing/shipping processes
- Experience using automated testing tools to enhance testing capabilities
- Understanding of data manipulation and ETL processes
Pay
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. The actual base salary offered depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
