Software Quality Assurance Analyst
About the role
Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join a team focused on building new tools that help customers modernize their traditional customer communications processes. This position adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), requiring all employees to undergo a federal background check and hold U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing functional testing of enhancements, defects, and other updates for web-based applications and document production software.
- Assume ownership of testing for potentially multiple customer projects.
- Create detailed test plans and test cases to exercise functionality.
- Report, track, and analyze defects.
- Communicate progress to your manager in a timely manner.
- Provide 2nd tier customer support as needed to address questions and issues.
- Perform other day-to-day testing activities as they arise.
- Bring ideas to the team to improve testing processes and overall product quality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Proven capability in the fundamentals of software quality assurance, including test planning, test case creation, and documentation.
- Strong communication skills; able to understand and relate concepts, findings, and updates to a variety of personnel.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively with team members and others across the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to prioritize assignments based on business and team priorities.
- Familiarity with the Waterfall development concept.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field.
- Experience related to confidential and regulated data (PHI, PII, PCI, etc.).
- Experience using Atlassian JIRA or similar project management software.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar products.
- Experience with QA of document production software (billing statements, EOBs, ANOCs, invoices, etc.) and mailing and shipping processes.
- Experience using automated testing tools to enhance testing capabilities.
- Understanding of data manipulation and ETL processes.
Pay
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. The actual base salary offered depends on factors such as qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
