About the role
The QA Engineer will enhance Higharc's platform quality by collaborating closely with the Engineering and Product teams. The goal is to ensure a seamless, bug-free experience for builders.
Responsibilities
- Apply mid to expert level drafting and homebuilding domain knowledge to improve platform quality.
- Manually test new features, regression scenarios, and complex user flows in a modern web-based CAD application.
- Write, maintain, and execute test cases based on product specifications and user stories.
- Collaborate with developers and PMs to understand technical implementations and identify edge cases in new features, before they reach end users.
- Log bugs using our issue tracking system (Linear).
- Validate fixes and contribute to QA sign-off for releases.
- Work with automated test output and support identifying gaps in test coverage so our automation engineers can help fill in those gaps.
- Participate in release QA coordination.
Requirements
- You understand how production homebuilding documentation works — not just conceptually, but from direct experience.
- You're organized, self-directed, and able to communicate clearly about software behavior.
- You hold a high bar for quality because you know what's at stake when builders are working from bad data.
- You have: Mid to expert level drafter with strong BIM modeling/CAD experience (Example - Revit / AutoCad)
- 3+ years in experience in production homebuilding, option management and documentation of master plan sets
- Comfortable testing features involving real-time collaboration, 3D rendering, or document generation
- Excellent written communication and bug-reporting skills
- Strong ability to stay organized and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be based in Brazil
Qualifications
- A plus if you also bring:
- Understanding of the software development and testing process
- Experience working in an agile, fast-paced software team
- Familiarity with tools for managing tests and bugs, like Linear and Qase
- Familiarity with browser developer tools at a basic level
- Basic understanding of how tests can be automated
