About the Role
A Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting the execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects. The successful candidate will work closely with other QA Engineers to perform and validate test cases based on quality requirements, and recommend changes to predetermined quality guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that the end product meets the minimum quality standards, is fully functional and user-friendly.
Core Job Duties
- Execute Test Plans
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content
- Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
- Create or maintain databases of known test defects
- Use software testing programs
- Collaborate with other QA members, Teams, BA or PO to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to create clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases
- Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications
- Clear communicator (written and verbal) to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
- Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability translate technical requirements test plans
- Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly
- Ability to think abstract to ensure ability to not conform to the norm. Norms do not find bugs quickly
