About the role

Amentum is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 3 to assist with system design, development, verification testing, system documentation, and build procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Installation Packages, tools, software, and documentation.
  • Identify gaps in documentation, software, or other elements of an Installation Package and work with the development team to resolve defects.
  • Build Installation Packages and create repeatable installation processes for system engineers.
  • Identify defects in system implementation documentation and build procedures; resolve and retest until results are favorably repeatable.
  • Integrate solutions into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Validate and analyze functional requirements; produce and derive test cases to validate installation meets intended requirements.
  • Validate non-functional requirements such as system performance targets.
  • Update documentation based on new test cases or implementation steps identified.
  • Review project documentation and build procedures.
  • Verify and validate security controls meet confidentiality, integrity, and availability requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to development or engineering teams; perform independent research to resolve complex IT issues.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations or demonstrations to customers or stakeholders.
  • Recommend processes or standards to enhance efficiency or productivity of IT systems.
  • Develop resource estimates and schedules for IT systems/components implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance or mentorship to team members.
  • Analyze alternatives and recommend appropriate technologies to meet system performance or functional requirements.
  • Design and develop solutions by analyzing stakeholder requirements and collaborating with users, system engineers, and software developers.
  • Design and implement solutions for complex problems and large-scale projects.
  • Research, document, and present business cases for new technologies.
  • Develop system installation or build procedures/scripts.
  • Analyze and resolve system performance issues (e.g., response time, interface/integration problems, bottlenecks, data flow).
  • Assist with developing, executing, and analyzing integration test procedures for system components.

Requirements

  • Experience building Installation Packages and creating repeatable installation processes for system engineers.
  • Ability to identify defects in system implementation documentation and build procedures; work with development teams to resolve and retest until repeatable.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience as a Software Integration Engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Systems, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IAM Level 2 certification.

Pay

$200,000 - $225,000 per year.
