Software Engineers - Huntsville, AL

About the role

The Software Engineers will support the development and maintenance of critical systems for Ground Missile Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems. These systems process data from various sensors to identify and mitigate ballistic missile threats.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software in C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
• Work in a Linux RHEL environment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions
• Ensure software security compliance with DoD standards
• Travel up to 10% for customer site support

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Math, or other STEM field
• 2+ years of related professional experience
• Demonstrated experience developing software in C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
• Experience developing software in a Linux RHEL environment
• Security + Certification

Pay

• Annual Salary Range: $84,000 - $140,000

Schedule

• Flex 4/10 Schedule
• Flex 9/80 w/every other Friday off
• A straight 5/8 schedule
