Responsibilities
- Manage the life cycle of software projects and solutions.
- Collaborate with the product owner to manage the product backlog and exercise ownership of technical features.
- Manage the software development methodology and practices.
- Convert business requirements to technical requirements and maintain the technical roadmap.
- Prioritize technical roadmap features and collaborate with project managers to determine level of effort and estimates.
- Create and implement proof of concept code and ensure code review processes are occurring on agreed-upon cadence.
- Mentor development team towards higher software development expertise and efficiency.
- Contribute to the definition of software development standards and best practices.
- Contribute to IT strategy and planning.
- Ensure organization's documentation standards are met and maintained.
- Manage communication with product stakeholders and collaborate with infrastructure and other cross-functional IT teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
- Proven experience in leading software development teams.
- Strong technical background with a solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including building and deploying applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Azure SQL), Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architecture patterns.
- Knowledge of scalability, availability, and performance optimization in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of the grocery industry is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise product requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
