About the role
The selected candidate will intern with Raytheon Software Engineering team during summer 2027 as part of the Raytheon Fellowship Program.
Responsibilities
- Perform development, integration, test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms.
- Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources, ensuring they meet performance standards for stability and utilization.
- Develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, facilitate testing, etc.
- Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code coverage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews, and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and will be at minimum Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Grad year by summer 2027.
- Software development experience with Java in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Familiarity with agile development and version control systems such as GIT.
- Experience or familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or Maven or GITLAB.
- Experience or familiarity with Agile development practices.
