Software Engineering Intern I, Summer 2027
About the role
This posting is one of several software summer interns in NH. The title of each posting corresponds to the years of college completed prior to joining us in the summer of 2027 (i.e., Software Engineering Intern I – completed 1st/freshman year of college, Software Engineering Intern II – completed 2nd/sophomore year of college, etc.). Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and testing software solutions utilizing Agile methodologies and sound software engineering principles while conforming to existing code development strategies and processes.
- Aiding in other software engineering activities such as integration testing, algorithm & data analysis, software troubleshooting, and preparing documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Utilizing a Windows PC or Linux based software development environment and either x86 or PowerPC target and test environment.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program for CS (Computer Science), CE (Computer Engineering), or a related field, and will complete your freshman year prior to summer 2027.
- Programming experience in at least one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python.
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Data Structures and Object-Oriented Design/Development.
- Experience with AGILE based development.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems.
- Experience using common software version control tools such as Git.
Skills
- Preferred knowledge of Security clearance (secret or higher).

Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $41963 - $58361
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary Employees
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
