Software Engineering Director 2 - Developer Experience

Job Description

Exhibits a mix of technical acumen, strategy, and vision, along with the ability to cultivate and grow technical talent. Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and testing a set of technical products in response to an external or internal need. Manages multiple software engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• 10 or more years of relevant software engineering experience
• 6 or more years of experience leading multiple software engineering teams

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Proven experience delivering software and platform capabilities within a large Financial Services organization
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise developer platform, DevOps, platform engineering, or Developer Experience organizations
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices, cloud-native architectures, and software delivery platforms
• Experience with Internal Developer Portals, including Backstage or comparable developer platform technologies
• Experience implementing and scaling inner sourcing models and engineering community engagement
• Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing enterprise-wide technology strategy
• Strong understanding of cloud engineering and modern platform architectures
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale organizational and technology transformation initiatives
