Software Engineer with Security Clearance

About the role

A software engineer position is available with a security clearance requirement. This role will work on independent software projects in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, and potentially at Fort Meade, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure software applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new features
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software development and security

Requirements

• At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with secure coding practices and tools
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple programming languages and frameworks
• Knowledge of software security principles and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or similar languages
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
