About the role

Munich Re sees the use of medical data as instrumental in enhancing the customer experience and expanding insurability for life insurance. Integrated Analytics (IA) leads this effort in the US and Canada. Individuals in the role of Software Engineer will use their software engineering skills to build and operationalize the platforms that turn underwriting expertise into automated, auditable risk decisions.

• Shipped a multi-tenant rules engine and visual rule designer that lets carrier underwriters author and deploy decision logic self-serve
• Deployed automated interview and decision workflows to production in partnership with underwriters and data science
• Stood up event-streaming (SSE) and third-party data pipelines feeding real time underwriting decisions across services
