Software Engineer - TS/SCI with Polygraph
About the role
GDIT is seeking an experienced Software Engineer Full Stack Developer to support Government activities at Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage application frontend and/or backend framework and technologies
- Work closely with development team to build reusable UI components, optimize UI performance and ensure accessibility
- Analyze user interfaces, maintain hardware and software performance tuning, analyze workload and computer usage, maintain interfaces with outside systems, analyze downtimes, analyze proposed system modifications and upgrades
- Develop system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests
- Coincide closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications
- Develop in conjunction with functional users, system alternative solutions
- Research the latest technological developments in relevant operating systems to identify impact on organization operating systems and anticipate changes
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience programming web and client/server applications using Java, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPADemonstrated hands-on experience with upgrading Spring boot, Hibernate/JPA especially from much older versions to newer versions
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with database design and querying (SQL, Oracle)
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with version control such as Git (GitHub, Gitlab, etc.)
- Demonstrated hands-on experience building APIs and services using REST
- Experience working in Agile development environment
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Experience: 6+ years
- Location: Chantilly, VA (On Customer Site)
Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux-based or Windows-based systems and shell scripting
- Demonstrated experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with build automation technologies like Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Cypress)
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow
- Familiarity with Kubernetes

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $123,159 - $166,626. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
