About the role
Seeking a versatile software engineer with TS/SCI US Government security clearance and FSP to join a small agile team designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable software solutions for government customers. The team is fast-paced, collaborative, and cohesive, and depends on team members to communicate openly and to design solutions and deliver quality models on a regular, aggressive clip.
Responsibilities
- Translate mission requirements into technical specifications and implement robust, maintainable code.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure software quality and security compliance.
- Support DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes for rapid and secure deployment.
Requirements
- US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and in-scope full-scope polygraph required on Day 1.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in federal or defense environments.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
- Experience with secure coding practices and working in classified environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and version control (Git).
- Must be willing to work 5 days per week in SCIF in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience conducting software engineering work on AWS classified cloud architecture.
- Certifications such as Security+, AWS Certified Developer, or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience working within a high-performance compute environment.
- Master’s Degree.
