About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the USAF Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software systems
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues and enhance backend services and web applications
  • Implement software improvements
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security standards
  • Contribute to technical documentation
  • Support CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain version control and deployment processes

Requirements

  • Relevant experience: 9+ years with a Bachelor’s, 7+ years with a Master’s, 4+ years with a PhD
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (CompTIA Security+ or higher) required within 60 days of hire
  • Programming Languages: C++, Python
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Windows
  • Version Control: Git, GitLab
  • Web & Frameworks (optional/desired): Django, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
  • Databases: SQL
  • Other: Bash scripting, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab YAML), automated testing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Data Science, or equivalent certifications (CISSP-ISSAP, GSEC, CSSLP)
