Software Engineer Sr, Level 3

Basic Qualifications

• Software development experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java and JavaScript (Node.js)
• Software development experience with .net or C#
• US Citizenship Required: No clearance required to start but must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Generating and Simulating

• Operational level plans to explore the art of the possible, how we could defend the ultimate high ground in a future space war
• Dynamically optimizing both terrestrial and space-based sensors to provide comprehensive space domain awareness
• Strategically optimizing the placement and maneuvering of constellations of satellites to satisfy multiple, evolving priorities

• Leverage industry standard open-source software solutions such as GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher

Engineering Practices

• Automation-first and “everything as code” mindset
• Focused on building cutting edge functionality for our end users

Team Dynamics

• Rapidly develop and deploy solutions for a complex space system following core engineering principles
• Enable the delivery of fully functioning mission capability to end users securely and continuously

Desired Skills

• Experience working on large-scale software projects with multiple teams and stakeholders
• Experience with software version control tools, such as git
• Developing software with CI/CD build tools (GitLab, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with software test best practices, including unit test, integration test, and end-to-end test
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Familiarity with the Space Domain

• Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
