About the role
The Software Engineer position is part of the program team dedicated to meeting and exceeding our customers' expectations. This role supports computational systems architecture and system software for real-time simulation applications, creating new and modified simulation models using established techniques.
Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and develop software to model and simulate B-2 aircraft (real-time applications)
- Test systems and integrate/debug/document software programs that meet the requirements
- Apply software engineering methods to develop or modify mathematical models and algorithms to simulate real-time systems
- Learn and become proficient in a variety of software languages and tools
- Solve complex problems requiring ingenuity and innovation
- Use appropriate standards, processes, procedures, documentation, and support tools throughout the product lifecycle
- Work with other engineers as a team to ensure corrections are completed in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience implementing functional requirements for computer software
- Proficiency in software languages such as FORTRAN, C/C++, Ada, C#, Java, Python
- Excellent communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening
- Proven success in a fast-paced development environment and a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Ability to obtain a Top-Secret DoD security clearance

- Essential to be completely customer-oriented, interfacing routinely to provide effective solutions and feedback on projects
- Works with other engineers as a team to ensure corrections are completed in a timely fashion; but may be required to work independently with minimal direction to provide solutions
