Software Engineer / Software Sustainment Specialist

About the role

The Software Engineer / Software Sustainment Specialist supports the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. The position involves maintaining, enhancing, and supporting mission-critical analytic applications, databases, and automation systems within a classified environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage source code
• Implement software enhancements
• Maintain documentation
• Support data workflows
• Ensure operational continuity for intelligence mission systems

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, software sustainment, application support, or database administration
• Experience with SQL, database management, and application troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems
• Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies

Qualifications

• Experience supporting mission-critical applications in DoD or Intelligence Community environments
• Familiarity with analytic databases, data pipelines, and intelligence workflows
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, or secure software development practices
• Knowledge of SAP/SCI security requirements and accreditation processes
