Software Engineer SME (TS/SCI with Poly Required)

About the role

As a Software Engineer at GCI, you will solve complex problems by delivering high-value mission solutions in areas such as Data Analytics, Software Development, Engineering, Targeting and Analysis, Operations, Training, and Cyber Operations.

Responsibilities

• Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks.
• Implement the product's lifecycle: design, development, quality, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop and adhere to best practices for application development.
• Continuously contribute to team performance improvement and collaboration.
• Solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Work in an Agile development environment.
• Use build tools (Git) and make tactical and strategic improvements to large-scale Java products.

Required Skills

• Front End: Salesforce, Single Page Applications (JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML), jQuery, jQuery UI.
• Back End: REST, Java, JDBC, Oracle Database.
• Documented experience with DevOps and CI/CD routines.
• Documented experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS).

Desired Skills

• Documented experience with additional Amazon Web Services (Lambda, SQS, SNS, etc.).
• Documented experience with Jenkins and GitHub.
• Excellent skills in RDBMS DB schema design and SQL development.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
