Software Engineer (Secret Clearance) (Remote)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver solutions using an Agile methodology.
• Design, develop, and implement cloud solutions leveraging tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Workflows, and other automated cloud deployment capabilities.
• In senior positions (level 4-5), provide design and architecture services, creating blueprints for deploying cloud solutions in cloud-native or cloud-optimized patterns.
• Optimize cloud solutions to improve performance while ensuring security and cost-effectiveness.
• Apply principles of containerization to optimize application deployment.
• Ensure high-quality delivery of cloud environment changes by implementing test-driven coding, peer reviews, and quality/vulnerability scanning.
• Establish and maintain processes and capabilities that support automated software pipelines and build processes using technologies such as Jenkins and GitLab.
• Apply tools such as Twistlock, Chef, and SSM to monitor secure configurations and deployments.
• Establish monitoring and logging processes to alert customers to performance and security issues promptly, leveraging tools like CloudTrail and CloudWatch for customer dashboards.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and release packages.
• Maintain a professional environment during user acceptance testing with customer counterparts.
• For levels 3-5 (Mid, Senior, SME), provide mentorship and leadership to developing software developers.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies by participating in industry events and conferences.
• Maintain DOD-mandated certifications such as Security+ and other common computing environment requirements as provided by the customer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Secret Clearance required.
• 5 years of experience.
