About The Role
Applied Intuition's Self-Driving System (SDS) for Mining & Construction is building a modular, production-grade autonomy and operator-assist stack for construction and mining vehicles. Our team is looking for software engineers to develop the tooling and infrastructure that enables rapid development, testing, and deployment of autonomous systems at scale. If you're motivated by complex systems, ownership across boundaries, and real-world impact, this is where architecture meets autonomy. At Applied Intuition, You Will Design and build scalable Python-based tooling and infrastructure to support development across the autonomy stack.
Build systems that support fleet management and vehicle communication
Contribute to the design of scalable systems that support multiple vehicle platforms and operating environments.
Closely collaborate with engineers across the stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience in shipping complex software in Python.
- Experience building backend systems, developer tools, or infrastructure.
- Nice to have:
- A MSc or PhD in computer science or applied mathematics with coursework or research experience in robotics.
- Experience with driver assistance or autonomous driving systems or off-road products.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Python programming.
- Experience with backend systems, developer tools, or infrastructure.
- Understanding of autonomy and operator-assist stack.
- Experience with fleet management and vehicle communication.

Benefits
Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
Pay
The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position. Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. For pay transparency purposes, the base salary range for this full-time position in the location listed is: $125,000 - $222,000 USD annually.
