About The Role

Glean is seeking creative engineers to own and launch delightful user-facing features. This involves working closely with product managers and designers to develop ideas that balance engineering constraints with product requirements.

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of greenfield features from inception to implementation, experimentation, launch, and beyond.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand the problem space and create elegant solutions.
• Architect REST APIs that are backed by stable, scalable server-side implementations and maximize web client flexibility for rapidly meeting evolving product requirements.
• Write robust, efficient, and maintainable code that’s easy to read and test.
• Mentor more junior engineers or learn from experienced ones.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience building and shipping scalable features in the backend.
• User-centric and empathetic mentality for building products.
• Experience in building scalable and maintainable backend systems.
• Loves authoring easy-to-read and future-proof REST APIs, especially OpenAPI.
• Experience with distributed CRUD-level functionality, including both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in Golang and Java.
