About the role

This is a software engineer position within a YC-backed AI startup aiming to automate residential construction operations. The role involves leading the development of AI-powered product features, building real-time systems across natural language, reasoning, and voice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of scalable AI features using LLMs and RAG architectures to automate complex contractor workflows.
• Build and optimize real-time, human-like AI interaction systems spanning voice, reasoning, and natural language processing.
• Own the full-stack lifecycle of product features using TypeScript, React, and Next.js to deliver immediate value to the sales pipeline.

Requirements

• Proven full-stack expertise with 2+ years of experience in TypeScript, React, Next.js, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Deep production experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and RAG, with a strong bonus for audio processing or ASR experience.
• A relentless builder's mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced 9-to-7 in-person startup environment focused on rapid shipping.

Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
• Production experience with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and RAG.
• Audio processing or ASR experience is a plus.
