Software Engineer - Product and Workflow Support

Job Summary

The Illinois Credit Union League seeks a Software Engineer - Product and Workflow Support to enhance existing workflows, resolve customer-facing issues, and partner with the Senior Architect and Product Full Stack Developer.

About the Role

This role focuses on practical improvements, operational reliability, and the steady evolution of the system, without defining new architecture.

Responsibilities

• Support customer data workflows, application operations, and ongoing platform enhancements
• Work closely with customers to understand their business needs
• Aid in configuring and refining automated data-transformation templates
• Translate business requirements into reliable, scalable, and maintainable workflows that drive operational efficiency
• Collaborate with the Senior Architect and Full Stack Developer to gain a deep understanding of system architecture, APIs, deployments, and data flows across the platform
• Assist with routine operational support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance activities
• Develop and maintain scripts that support data ingestion, ELT processes, and data transformations across multiple application datasets
• Support operational workflows within Amazon Web Services (AWS), including S3 and related services
• Follow established deployment procedures to maintain existing customer environments and provision new customer accounts
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing across the organization

Requirements

• Strong Python, JavaScript, and SQL skills
• Comfort with command-line tools (Linux/Windows/cloud)
• AWS: S3, Aurora/RDS, Lambda, Cognito/SSO, Docker; Fargate preferred
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science
• AWS Certification preferred
• 5-7 years experience
