Payments Platform
The Payments platform is the core of Aiwyn’s mission to transform the way accounting firms manage their financial operations. It handles the critical tasks of invoicing, collections, payment methods, schedules, installments, reconciliation, and provides the assurance that every dollar is accounted for accurately.
Responsibilities
- Build and extend the APIs that enable seamless integration with various payment processors, banks, and firm systems.
- Own the systems that move money reliably, ensuring accuracy and trust in the payment lifecycle.
- Work closely with domain experts to understand the intricacies of invoicing, collections, and reconciliation across firms and jurisdictions.
- Ship real systems where edge cases, accuracy, and domain depth are non-negotiable.
- Bridge the gap between engineering and non-engineering teams, ensuring both sides can work effectively together.
- Take ownership of projects from specification through implementation and scaling.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, accurate systems.
- Experience with fintech and payments, particularly in payment systems, money movement, or collections.
- Ability to work closely with non-engineering experts, understanding their needs and translating them into technical solutions.
- Fluency in AI tools and an understanding of how they can enhance the development process.
- Comfort working across the entire tech stack, from backend to frontend and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Hands-on technical depth in domains where correctness is paramount.
- Experience with complex systems that require deep domain knowledge and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both engineering and non-engineering teams.
- Able to adapt to new technologies and methodologies, especially those related to AI and machine learning.
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to fintech and payments, such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with databases, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the accounting industry.
- Knowledge of payment processing protocols and standards, such as ISO 20022 and SWIFT.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools to ensure transparency and accountability in financial transactions.
