Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

About the role

Design, develop and implement software solutions to solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. You will be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues, take an active role in code reviews, and assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop APIs using RESTful and gRPC protocols.
  • Define API specifications, implement security measures, and optimize performance and reliability of API gateway-deployed platforms using Envoy gateways for APIs on-premises and on AWS.
  • Implement and manage gRPC multiplexing to handle multiple streams over a single connection, optimizing communication patterns, managing concurrency, and improving latency and throughput.
  • Develop enterprise-level applications using Spring framework and Spring Boot for microservices architecture, implementing dependency injection, aspect-oriented programming, and transaction management.
  • Deploy and manage applications using cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Deploy, manage, and scale applications using Kubernetes; create and manage Kubernetes clusters, configure networking, and implement service discovery and load balancing.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and maintain compliance with industry standards including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
  • Track application performance and troubleshoot issues using monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, Java Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills

  • Five (5) years of experience with:
    • Designing and developing APIs using RESTful and gRPC protocols.
    • Defining API specifications, implementing security measures, and optimizing performance and reliability of API gateway-deployed platforms using Envoy gateways for APIs on-premises and on AWS.
    • Implementing and managing gRPC multiplexing to handle multiple streams over a single connection.
    • Developing enterprise-level applications using Spring framework and Spring Boot for microservices architecture.
    • Deploying and managing applications using cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Three (3) years of experience with deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes.
  • One (1) year of experience with:
    • Implementing authentication, authorization, encryption, and maintaining compliance with industry standards including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
    • Tracking application performance and troubleshooting issues using monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
