About the Opportunity

The Software Engineer, Mobile develops high-quality mobile applications using React Native for iOS and Android platforms. This role contributes to a scalable, user-focused mobile experience by building features that improve the borrower journey and support business objectives. The position works closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams to deliver reliable, performant, and maintainable mobile solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-facing features for React Native mobile applications across iOS and Android.
• Design mobile components and subsystems that are performant, maintainable, scalable, and reliable.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define requirements, scope solutions, and launch new features.
• Improve mobile development tooling, testing strategies, continuous integration, and performance monitoring.
• Partner with backend engineers to define mobile-specific APIs and strengthen system integrations.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mobile performance and reliability issues.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
• Contribute to engineering standards and best practices across the mobile development lifecycle.
• Mentor teammates and support a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing mobile engineering culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Professional experience building mobile applications with React Native.
• Familiarity with native mobile development platforms and technologies such as Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java.
• Strong understanding of mobile performance, memory management, platform constraints, and application reliability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, design, backend engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to independently deliver complex features from planning through production release.
• Strong commitment to maintainable, scalable, and high-quality engineering practices.
• Willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback and mentor other team members.
• Growth mindset with a strong interest in learning new technologies and supporting team development.
