Software Engineer - Mid Level

About the role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with a web application development background, including full-stack capabilities. This role involves designing, building, testing, and maintaining scalable software systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to front-end and backend services, develop APIs, and collaborate with the development team to deliver reliable, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Writing and maintaining source code
• Creating and maintaining software applications
• Applying frameworks involved in a software release life cycle
• Managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing
• Collaborating with development team to deliver reliable, high-performance applications
• Communicating with colleagues across multiple areas
• Explaining technical solutions, practices, and procedures to others within the organization

Qualifications

• Typically requires a BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in front end web application development in one or more programming languages is required.
• Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot knowledge.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Agile project management software such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.
