Requirements
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5)+ years of additional Software Engineer experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the virtual malware containment enclave and modernize malware enrichment services.
- Gather information and design, create, and configure tools for monitoring.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based on documented requirements.
- Work individually or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
- Resolve software problem reports.
- Utilize software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Provide input to software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Skills
Required
- Familiarity working in a virtual environment, including creating virtual machines, images, and virtual environment networking.
- Proficiency in Python to generate scripts for automating VM setup.
- Ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks quickly.
- Experience with Atlassian tools and Git.
- Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE.
Desired
- Kotlin, Spring, or Spring Boot.
- Kubernetes.
- Java application development (no front-end necessary).
- REST APIs.

Pay
The proposed salary range for this position is $170,400 – $200,000. Final salary may vary based on geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
