Job Duties (Include but are not limited to)
As a Software Engineer, you will design and maintain data-driven backend systems to provide secure, high-performance search and analytics capabilities, with a focus on supporting U.S. national security missions. This role involves developing applications using Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; for Python, the Streamlit library is preferred, while React is used for JavaScript/TypeScript projects. You will develop backend services for data ingestion and retrieval, design APIs and microservices using Python Flask or FastAPI, and implement DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code. Additionally, a crucial part of the job involves conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on Commercially Available Information (CAI), Publicly Available Information (PAI), and other datasets. Data is stored in Postgres databases and can be accessed via SQLAlchemy.
Additional Information
Clearance: Current DoD TS/SCI Clearance is required.
Experience: 5 years of related software development experience.
Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Certifications: None required; familiarity with AWS, Docker, and DevSecOps tools is preferred.
