Software Engineer Manager - Customer Platform Engineering(Remote)

About the role

Lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. Work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a consumer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to build secure and scalable software solutions
• Automate infrastructure and monitoring services through custom scripts
• Evaluate and implement critical tooling with vendors and partners
• Create dashboards and alerts for proactive issue management
• Lead team development and facilitate career growth opportunities
• Participate in communities of practice to promote modern development practices
• Support engineers and manage technical escalations

Requirements

• 5-7 years experience in software engineering management
• Proficient in object-oriented programming (Java preferred)
• Mastery of a modern scripting language (Python preferred)
• Experience with web application frameworks (Ruby on Rails, Spring MVC, Node.js)
• Strong SQL query writing skills
• Effective troubleshooting and system monitoring techniques
• Leadership in mentoring and developing team members

Pay

$140,000 – $240,000 annually
