About the role
Muhlbauer, Inc., headquartered in Newport News, Virginia, seeks a Software Engineer to work at unanticipated location(s) in the U.S. Will develop and customize software for semiconductor machines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test software for Mühlbauer’s semiconductor applications;
- Help produce semiconductor software for Muhlbauer customers;
- Obtain input from customers to enhance the company’s software development process;
- Provide acceptance and software training for Mühlbauer’s semiconductor systems at customer’s sites;
- Provide software support service for customers; and
- Complete appropriate written documentation and feedback for service interventions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent foreign degree and two years of relevant post-bachelor experience in developing and installing software for industrial machines and providing software engineering support to customers, including training and servicing.
- Required experience must include:
- Development and implementation of user interfaces;
- Development and implementation of software Uptime Analysis tools;
- Production support in high-volume production environment;
- Software testing; and
- Experience with the following:
- Microsoft Visual Studio Professional for C, C++, C# programming and debugging
- Microsoft Azure for TFS code server management
- TwinCAT PLC control for Beckhoff development
- TwinCAT system manager for Beckhoff application and debugging
- Enterprise architect or Microsoft Visio for software block diagram
- OPC server for interface between machine and GUI
- ICE and GEM for SECS/GEM application
- AnyDesk, Teamviewer for remote support
Qualifications
- Either travelling to unanticipated worksites (up to 50% in U.S.) or relocation to long-term project might be required.
