Job Summary
The Waymo Logs Infrastructure plays a crucial role in powering critical decision-making and model development efforts. This role involves working closely with partners and stakeholders across Waymo to build joint strategy and roadmaps. Responsibilities include understanding and improving the behavior of production systems, automating processes, simplifying the system, brainstorming, designing, and building new infrastructure features, and providing support to partners and clients.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience working on large-scale distributed systems
- Proven track record of driving collaboration effectively across organizational boundaries
- Strong ability to document technical designs, processes, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Data Engineering / Backend Infrastructure / Streaming Infrastructure
- Sampling / Compression / Fleet Optimization algorithms
- Resource Allocation Fairness
- Familiarity with Cloud Storage (e.g. S3 or GCS)
Pay
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is $175,000—$215,000 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
