About the role

The selected Software Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the System Performance and Analysis - Simulation Team. This role is responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Seeking candidates who find satisfaction in working on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.

This position is located in Huntsville, AL. A current active in-scope U.S. Government-issued Secret security clearance is required to start. Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time. Must be able to work on-site, in office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 6 years of related experience, or a PhD and 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite and software version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket.
• Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development.
• Experience with C, GoLang, ADA, and/or Python.
• Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills.
• Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks.
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.
• Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity, SQL Databases.
• Experience with containers and container development.
• Active Security+ certification.

Pay

Primary salary range: $135,800.00 – $203,600.00. The above range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
