Software Engineer Lead - Mortgage Platforms

For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer Lead - Mortgage Platforms to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead the design and delivery of complex technology solutions that support mortgage platform capabilities across the enterprise. The position partners closely with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to drive reliable, scalable systems and resolve challenging production issues. It also requires hands-on technical leadership across the full stack, with a focus on modernizing solutions and supporting AI-enabled enterprise applications. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $127,310 – $243,340 annually Responsibilities Design and develop complex technical solutions in collaboration with engineers and architects Lead code and design reviews and communicate updates to stakeholders Organize and guide multiple teams in delivering features and solutions Resolve complex production issues and troubleshoot cross-application solutions Mentor junior and experienced engineers on design principles Collaborate with architects to define directions for emerging technologies Apply Site Reliability Engineering practices to ensure system reliability Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience 8 years of software development experience, including 2 years in a technical leadership role 6 years of experience in the full software development lifecycle Expertise in loan origination system platforms or similar mortgage technology solutions Strong hands-on engineering experience across the full tech stack Experience integrating AI into enterprise applications Proven ability to manage complex software solutions with multiple stakeholders Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) and pension options Life insurance and parental benefits Adoption assistance and paid time off, including volunteer hours Wellness programs and career path planning for professional development Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
