About the Role

Savance Workplace is looking for a talented junior to mid-level software engineer who loves to solve complex problems and turn ideas into reality. We are seeking someone passionate about computers and software development, who codes for fun and thrives on challenges. The ideal candidate is an overachiever who can work independently, communicate effectively, and design solutions with limited details. You should be able to grasp the big picture of a project while breaking it down into smaller, actionable parts and deliver results efficiently without micromanagement.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Research software issues by examining code, understanding functionality, and assisting team members and customers to resolve problems.
• Create plans to address software defects or issues after gathering information from support and customers to reproduce and understand the problem.
• Gather requirements and collaborate with team members and customers to ensure designs meet those requirements.
• Work directly with customers to define requirements for new functionality and collaborate with the product manager and engineering team to design solutions.
• Assist in the estimation and planning of software development tasks.
• Work on multiple projects while maintaining priorities.
• Write or refine technical documentation, such as customer guides and developer documentation.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or IT, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of development experience with C#, WinForms or WPF, OOP, and multithreading applications.
• 3+ years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database designs.
• 3+ years of development experience with ASP.Net, Angular, Web API, and RESTful web services.
• 3+ years of GIT and Azure DevOps knowledge.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Portfolio demonstrating proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and VB/C#/ASP.Net.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mobile development experience.
• Previous experience in technical support, customer service, or a similar role.
• Experience with the entire development cycle (design, develop, test, and release) of critical business software.
