Software Engineer, Investment Technology

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design and code business-related solutions, as well as core architectural changes, using an Agile programming approach.
• Participate and contribute to design discussions and code reviews.
• Build positive relationships with other team members, collaborate, and communicate effectively to reach successful outcomes.
• Utilize problem-solving skills to help your peers in the research and selection of tools, products, and frameworks.
• Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Work closely with and gather requirements from portfolio managers, traders, and other non-technical business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or other similar practices.
• 7+ years of proven hands-on, full-stack development with Python.
• Comfortable working in an agile software delivery environment, with Git and with exposure to CI / CD tools.
• Proven expertise in system design with the ability to evaluate and communicate architectural trade-offs clearly and effectively.
• Experience in the finance or investment industry, with understanding of capital markets and trading workflows.
• Proficient or solid understanding of general finance, financial products, etc.
• Experience utilizing AI tools or agentic workflows to support with the daily workflow.
• Strong software experience in developing and a proven track record of delivering full-stack cloud-based applications.
• Demonstrated ability to build and deploy microservices in a scalable high throughput workflow.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with distributed and asynchronous system architectures, including scalable and event-driven designs.
• Passion for clean, maintainable code and are always looking to improve your engineering skills in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset; able to build relationships across teams while independently driving projects forward.

Pay

Pay Rate: $90.00 - $125.00/hr
