Software Engineer in Test, E-Commerce AI Product Testing - USDS
About the Team
The USDS Global E-Commerce Quality & Engineering Efficiency team is dedicated to elevating the product quality of TikTok's Global E-Commerce ecosystem in the US. We are a group of passionate problem-solvers who drive quality assurance best practices and boost engineering efficiency. Our team is responsible for the end-to-end quality assurance of US e-commerce products, spanning the consumer side, seller side, creator side, and core e-commerce platforms. We sit at the intersection of traditional quality assurance and platform engineering.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements and technical architecture.
Ensure overall test quality, tracking progress across Android, iOS, Frontend, and Server-side environments.
Build, maintain, and enhance scalable server-side automation testing, UI-automation testing, and server-side stress/performance testing frameworks.
Develop and customize engineering efficiency tools and process enhancements tailored to internal quality construction needs.
Provide direct software engineering and debugging support across multiple business domains, working closely with quality engineers and cross-functional development counterparts to resolve complex technical blockers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
3+ years of professional experience in software testing and development within the high-tech sector.
Solid proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (preferably Python, Go, or Java).
Hands-on experience with server-side automation testing, UI-automation testing, and server-side stress/performance testing.
Solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep experience in core software development and the architecture-level design of scalable test automation frameworks.
Hands-on experience building comprehensive test plans and performing end-to-end testing on AI-powered platforms, agentic tools, LLM workflows, agent skills, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.
