Software Engineer III - Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, helping them develop their technical skills, career growth, and problem-solving abilities
• Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design
• Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for technical discussions with senior management, other engineering teams, and business units
• Translate complex technical topics into clear, understandable language for non-technical stakeholders both internally and for the customer
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment
• Design and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale leveraging SOA design principles on J2EE and .NET platforms
• Engage with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborate with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs
• Develop next generation user interfaces for all applications and innovate on integration patterns using Microservice design
• Show strong analytical skills to breakdown complex objectives and provide appropriate solutions within the context of the FAST application
• Be the primary point of contact with customers for all aspects of the FAST platform

Qualifications

• At least 5-7 years of industry experience in working and building large-scale software applications
• Experience in building web applications
• Demonstrated programming expertise in Java, C#, or .Net
• Experience with data design and working with relational databases (postgres, sqlserver)
• Strong skills with object-oriented programming and Enterprise software design principles
• Development experience with javascript frameworks (React, Angular, ExtJS) a plus
• Prior development utilizing SOA concepts and methodologies
• Experience with Microfrontends and Microservices a plus
• Strong leader capable of motivating and energizing resources
• Prior leadership and/or management experience of on-shore and off-shore resources
• Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Experience in unit/integration testing
• Experience with AWS Services
