Software Engineer III - Full Stack
Position Summary
We're seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build intuitive mobile experiences in React Native for Android and iOS, and robust backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and modern SQL/NoSQL databases. Your responsibilities include writing clean, well-tested, production-grade code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the reliability and scalability of our platform.
What You'll Do
- Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code across the full stack — JavaScript/TypeScript, React, React Native, and Java
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into reliable, scalable technical solutions that put the customer first
- Own your work end-to-end: from clarifying requirements and prioritizing outcomes, to debugging production issues across desktop and mobile with speed and precision
- Communicate clearly and proactively — status, blockers, and technical trade-offs — to your team and stakeholders without needing to be asked
- Contribute to the reliability and scalability of our platform by actively engaging in cross-team partnerships and providing meaningful architectural feedback
- Promote engineering excellence and Walmart's values in every line of code, every review, and every team interaction
About The Team
We're part of Walmart's International and Omni Tech organization, building the distributed systems that power retail operations for more than 6,000 stores across 26 countries and 55 banners — including Canada, Central America, Chile, China, and Mexico. Our work touches millions of customers every day, at truly global scale.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
- 3+ years of Java development experience
- 3+ years working with modern frameworks — React, React Native, Vue, or Angular
- Solid experience building and integrating REST-based services
- A track record of developing, operating, and supporting high-volume production applications
- Strong communication skills and a sharp, collaborative problem-solving mindset
Qualifications
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area, preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : Stock
