As a Software Engineer III, you'll take full ownership of key software subsystems, driving their development and support through the entire lifecycle. You'll serve as a subject matter expert in multiple areas, bringing innovative solutions and leading technical discussions to enhance quality and operational processes. Responsibilities
- Own software subsystem through full development and support lifecycle.
- Bring creative and innovative software solutions to the team.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in 2+ areas of the software.
- Act as a sounding board for technical discussions.
- Improve quality and operational processes.
- Triage challenging bugs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- Professional experience developing scalable micro-service based web applications with modern Java and the Spring framework.
- Professional experience developing in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc).
- Applicable knowledge in computer architecture and design, data access patterns, scalability and resiliency patterns, and object-oriented software techniques.
- Technical Leadership with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply them in day-to-day work.
- Use data to make technical recommendations and decisions.
- Key contributor to technical team discussions and engineering debates.
- Ability to accurately estimate scope on larger software projects.
- Looks beyond current execution of tasks.
- Proficient at debugging other engineers' code.
- Ability and credibility from the team to lead.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Domain experience in healthcare preferred, but not required.
Pay
In compliance with California pay transparency laws, the specific compensation range applicable to your Geo Zone will be shared during your initial talent screen. Zone 1 (National Average): $153,000 USD - $163,000 USD.
Your specific compensation is determined by your experience, qualifications, the specific requirements of the role, and your Geo Zone. Our geo-zone system ensures your pay is competitive for your location, recognizing varying costs of labor across regions.
