Software Engineer III

Your Daily Mission

Develop cloud-based software working as part of a team. This position requires close teamwork within the application development team and with business users to meet the needs of the company and users. This role is expected to not only own complex systems but also guide others and influence engineering direction.

About the role

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining full-stack applications (front-end and back-end), building clean, efficient, and scalable code using modern frameworks, developing APIs and services to support AI features, optimizing performance and scalability of both front-end and back-end services, writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability, participating in code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and software engineering, building GenAI first apps to reduce payer and provider friction, working in bleeding edge cloud native technology, leading development of complex systems, driving design decisions, authoring technical proposals, and reviewing others, owning end-to-end systems, often with high reliability/performance demands, coordinating across teams, influencing product and engineering roadmaps, regularly mentoring SE I/II, helping with career development and performance growth, setting code quality standards, influencing testing practices and code structure at team level, and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications (front-end and back-end)
• Build clean, efficient, and scalable code using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Python, etc.)
• Develop APIs and services to support AI features such as automation
• Optimize performance and scalability of both front-end and back-end services
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile development processes
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and software engineering
• Build GenAI first apps to reduce payer and provider friction
• Work in bleeding edge cloud native technology

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5-8 years of experience in full-stack software development
• Demonstrable project ownership
• Deep expertise in multiple areas; consulted on critical technical decisions
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and frameworks like React, Node.js, or Django/Flask
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless cloud technologies especially Google Cloud
• Exposure to and curiosity with AI/ML concepts and tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code)
• Experience in modern CI/CD
• Proficient in system design, debugging, and writing scalable, maintainable code
